The Best Mammoth Wedding Venues
Mammoth is the one of the most beautiful places on earth and it’s such an iconic place to say I do. There are so many venues to choose from that it can be easy to overlook what might be the perfect one for you. I’ve put together this venue guide to help you dial in your decision so that you can have the wedding or elopement you’ve been dreaming about. Let’s get to it!

Why get married in mammoth lakes?
Because it’s an alpine paradise! Mammoth is host to a handful of venues that offer dramatic mountain peaks, crystal-clear lakes, and serene meadows that create the perfect visual setting for your wedding. Beyond the natural eye candy, your wedding weekend can be filled with adventure—skiing and snowboarding, hiking to waterfalls and secluded lakes, soaking in hot springs, or enjoying world-class dining and craft brews with your closest friends and family. A wedding in Mammoth Lakes is more than a celebration; it’s an experience all of its own!

When Is the best time of year to get married in Mammoth Lakes?
The answer to this question is debatable as each season is amazing in its own right, but I’ll argue with anyone about why Autumn is best. The temps are perfect, the fall foliage is in full effect, and it’s the least crowded time of the year in town. Summer comes in close as my second pick and if you fell in love with Mammoth for the snow there are also a handful of venues that can make your winter wedding dreams come true.

June Mountain
A wedding at June Mountain will take your breath away in more ways than one. The views are epic, the old chairlift ride up from the base to the venue, or maybe the elevation itself. It’s all just so good here.

Pokonobe Marina
This one is unique as it’s the only lakeside ceremony site on our list. It’s a smaller venue but the vibe is on point for intimate gatherings. Pro tip: Take one of their canoes out on the water for a romantic paddle around Lake Mary after you seal the deal.

Camp High Sierra
Camp High Sierra is known for its rustic mountain charm and it’s the spot to pick if you’re looking to have something more low key. It’s a historic Eastern Sierra campground with a century-old lodge nestled in the pines. This one is only open to weddings in September and October, so keep that in mind.

Sierra Star
Sierra Star is one of the prettiest golf courses I’ve ever played, and it’s no different for weddings. It’s conveniently situated in the center of town and the spaces used for the ceremonies, cocktail hour, and receptions are within a few hundred feet from each other – making it an easy to get around venue for guests young and old. The ceremonies are held on the 1st tee which has an amazing view down the fairway focusing on Mammoth Rock.

THe Outpost and Hemlock meadow
I haven’t worked this venue yet, but I look forward to the day I do. It’s located on the backside of Mammoth Mountain, so it’s tucked away and very private. It’s often overlooked and it’s probably Mammoth’s least utilized venue. Don’t let that deter you from its greatness though. It’s special to be back there.

Mammoth Lakes Year Round Wedding venues

Convict Lake Resort
Convict is a personal favorite of mine, and for good reason. This all inclusive venue is a classic Eastern Sierra location with easy to access all things awesome. Colorful crags shoot up to the sky from the crystal blue lake shore and it makes for one of the best backdrops in the area. The aspen grove ceremony site is as romantic as it gets and is just a short walk from the 28 cabins where you and all your guests can stay. Megan and Mike at https://www.mnm-events.com/ have it completely dialed in to provide you with one of the best wedding experiences in the area.

McCoy Station
McCoy is the halfway point for the Mammoth Mountain gondola and sits at a comfortable 9,630 feet above sea level. The biggest reception parties happen here so if you’ve got a big guest list, this is the spot for you. Ceremony views from the roof top are the incredible as you get to see the minarets in all their glory. The roof also makes for an excellent astro-portrait spot for us at the end of the night.

Parallax
Parallax is the luxury reception venue on Mammoth Mountain located inside of McCoy Station. It’s a bit more upscale and intimate than the receptions held at McCoy and caps out at 80 guests. Combine it with any of the available ceremony spaces and you’ve got yourselves set up for a top of the line celebration. It has excellent sunset views from inside and gives us an to easy access portraits spot right outside the venue doors.

Top Of The Mountain
The most adventurous venue on the list by far! The top of the Mammoth Mountain hosts both ceremonies and small receptions and is guaranteed to wow your guests with its panoramic views of the sierra. This venue requires a gondola ride up to 11,053 feet, so before booking it might be best confirm that your guests don’t have a fear heights. Best views. 100%.

The Mill
If you’ve been skiing or snowboarding at Mammoth, you’ve likely popped in here to rest or get some snacks. It’s used only as a reception space and it works well for hosting your party on the mountain without having to take the gondola up to McCoy. It’s cozy inside, and has a great sun deck with seating and fire pits so you can have both an indoor and outdoor reception experience.

Double Eagle Resort
Double eagle is your all inclusive, go to mountain retreat for you and your guests in June Lake. Located at the base of Carson Peak, it’s ceremony site view extraordinary. There are indoor and outdoor ceremony spaces and they host weddings year round. They’ve got cabins for you and your guests, a spa and fitness center, amazing food, and one of my favorite portrait session spots is right across the street.

Victory Lodge
Possibly the largest and most impressive lodge in the Eastern Sierra, Victory lodge is one of those bucket list stays you just have to see for yourself. This 16,000 square foot log and stone masterpiece in June Lake is just incredible. It’s got big views of Carson peak and horsetail falls, and sits on the shore of Gull Lake. Bring your closest 20 people along to stay for the weekend and host up to 150 guests for your wedding. You’ll have to work a little harder on this one as it’s simply just a property to rent, but I can point you in the right direction of the best vendors in the area to help you bring it together.
